Location & Arrival

Das Tyrol in the 6th district

Right in the thick of it

The Tyrol is located between the historic old town and the modern hip districts, surrounded by palaces, museums, secluded alleys and boulevards, old craft shops and designer boutiques, pubs and top restaurants.

To the right, down the street and across the Ring stands the Hofburg, where the emperor once resided; on the left begins Mariahilfer Strasse, the city's longest and largest shopping street; straight ahead are the MuseumsQuartier and the Kunsthistorisches Museum with their world-famous collections, and in all the surrounding alleys are some of the city's coolest pubs and bars.

Wherever you want to go - when you step out of our hotel, you're almost there. So you don't have to travel once you've arrived in Vienna.

Within easy walking distance

Guest opinions

Reviews

"The location is excellent, on a nice street with lots of shopping and activity, but also quiet because it is mainly a pedestrian way with restricted auto traffic. U-bahn and trolly is only a block away, and many museums and sights are easily walkable."
