What is the best way to get in touch with Hotel Tyrol?

When can I check in to my room? And when must I check out on my departure day?

Check-in here is at 2:00 pm. If you should arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the reception desk. If you room is already ready, we would be happy to check you in earlier. We ask that you check out of your room by 12:00 pm. After check-out, you are welcome to store your luggage with us until you leave. For an extra fee and based on availability, we also offer a late check-out after 12 pm.

Is there a breakfast buffet in the hotel?

No, we serve breakfast à la carte and à la minute. Here, you can enjoy breakfast that is freshly prepared according to your wishes.

Is there food for those with a lactose and glucose intolerance, wheat flour allergy, or diabetics?

Our breakfast chef is happy to take your individual needs into consideration. Please let us know prior to your arrival so that we can take your requests into account.

What time is breakfast?

Our à la carte breakfast is from 7:00 to 10:00 am daily. With an early departure, we would be happy to treat you to an "early bird breakfast package". Simply tell us what you would like for breakfast. We will put the package together according to your wishes. It will be available for you at the reception desk on your departure day.

What is the easiest way to reach you from the airport?

We offer a pick-up service from and a transfer to the airport: the ride takes around 30 min. Pick-up costs 47 Euro and a transfer to the airport 42 Euro. If you are interested in our pick-up service from the airport, please let us know your time of arrival and flight number. Of course, you can also reach us by public transportation - either by Schellbahn (S7, the express train) or the CAT (city airport train) from the airport to the "Wien Mitte / Landstraße" train station. Take the subway line U3 (orange) in the direction of "Ottakring" and ride to "Neubaugasse". Take the "Kirchengasse" exit. From here, it is around 5 min. by foot to our hotel. The whole trip takes ca. 45 min. with public transportation (the city airport train takes about half of this time).

How do I get my boarding passes?

Our reception staff is happy to help with your online check-in. If you have already checked in online, simply send us your boarding passes by e-mail. We will print this out at the reception desk.

How long do I have to cancel my room?

Depending on agreements made, you can still cancel your reservation for free. For a no-show without advanced cancellation or with a cancellation that is too late, a cancellation fee amounting to the cost of the first night will be charged to your credit card.

How do I pay for my room?

Usually, we do not require a deposit for your booking. For security, we do ask that you send us your credit card information. Your credit card will not be charged at this time! It will have to be authorized for payment in the amount of the first night's stay. You will be charged upon departure and can pay in cash, EC card or credit card - VISA, AMEX, DINERS, JCB, and MASTERCARD.

Am I allowed to smoke in the room?

All of our rooms and the entire hotel are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only on the balcony of your studio room.

How do I reach the hotel by car?

If you are traveling here by car, you will find directions here to the garage. Our underground garage is located across from the hotel under the Leiner Einrichtungshaus (furniture store) on the Mariahilfer Straße.

What do I do if I suddenly become ill?

Please contact our reception staff at once. We will be happy to help you: a pharmacy with employees that speak several languages is located across from the hotel on the Mariahilfer Straße. Do you need a doctor or emergency rescue service? We will take care of this immediately so that help comes to the hotel straight away.

How does the Internet work in the hotel?

When you check in at the reception desk, you will receive a separate access code for each Internet-capable device. WLAN is available for free throughout the hotel.

How does the air conditioning work?

The air conditioner can be regulated by guests themselves in each room in the summer months.

Can I open the window?

If you would like some fresh air, you can open the window. The air conditioner will automatically switch off.

Can the room be darkened?

Our curtains offer protection from unwanted rays of light, because the backside of the curtains have a black-out layer.

Are bed linens available for allergy sufferers?

Upon request, we will provide you with hypoallergenic bed linens and blankets.

Is the hotel entrance open at night?

You have access to the hotel around the clock. Of course, our reception staff is also available round the clock.

Is a reservation with a credit card possible without guarantee?

A reservation is only possible with a guarantee. However, you can guarantee your booking with a deposit by bank transfer instead of credit card.

Is there food for lactose and gluten-intolerances, wheat allergies, or diabetics?

Our breakfast buffet offers a standard, small selection of good for special needs. If you have any additional requests, just let us know when you arrive.

Is there a laundry, ironing, and cleaning service?

If you leave your clothing at the reception desk by 10:00 am for cleaning, your items will be available for pick-up on the same day at 8 pm.

How can I rent a bicycle?

Our reception staff will help you with bike rental. Unfortunately, it is not possible to store or park these bikes at our hotel.

Is there a luggage storage room?

You can store your luggage for free at the reception desk on your arrival and departure day.

Are hot drinks available in the room?

There is a Nespresso machine in all rooms. An electric kettle is also available upon request.

Is there a computer in the hotel that I can use for printing?

Our computer corner in the lobby enables you to print out documents (for ex. boarding passes).

Can I book sightseeing tours and airport taxis on-site?

(Upon request and prior to your arrival), our reception staff is happy to organize the Vienna Card, guided tour tickets, boat rides on the Danube, concert tickets, airport transfers, etc. for you.

How far is it to St. Stephen's square?

You can reach St. Stephen's square with a 15 min. walk.

Have you forgotten something at home?

If you forgot your toiletries for example when packing, this is not problem. Simply inquire at the reception desk. We will gladly provide you a toothbrush, nail file, shower cap, shaving set, band-aids, sanitary products for women, shoehorn, sewing kit, or an umbrella.

Is there a breakfast buffet in the hotel?

Enjoy a vast selection of treats in the morning in our breakfast restaurant. There is also a small variety of food for special needs (those with allergies, diabetics, or lactose or gluten intolerances).

Lunch and dinner in and around the hotel?

Viennese cuisine, pizza, pasta, sushi, or Chinese – whatever you're in the mood for, we will recommend the best restaurants near the hotel - also those with delivery service to your room.

Safety for you and family traveling with you:

The hotel meets all regulations and safety guidelines. For those with health problems, we will help with the organization of a doctor and pharmacy.

How can I send postcards and packages?

Our reception staff will help you with your mailing needs.

What power connections do I need for my electrical devices?

Basically 220 V. If you should need an adapter, ask at the reception desk. You can also borrow chargers for mobile phones. If you still have any questions that have not been answered here, just write us e-mail at: reception@das-tyrol.at

What should I keep in mind if I'm traveling with large luggage?

With a size of 20-25 sqm or 25-30 sqm, our rooms conform to 4-star European standards. For numerous, large suitcases however, these rooms offer only limited space. If you have more than 2 large pieces of luggage, we ask that you unpack your suitcases, and we will be happy to store your empty luggage for free in our locked storage room until your departure. Of course, there is also space in our storage room for full suitcases that you will not be needing during your stay at the hotel.
