30 individually-designed rooms in a 19th century building, with a private spa, concierge service and one of the best breakfasts in town. A space full of colour and light, gold leaf and onyx, velvet and silk, beautiful furniture and contemporary art. A mixture of 1001 nights, Paris fashion week and Viennese fin de siecle charm, while only a short walk away from the most beautiful sights of the city. It doesn't matter who you are or who you love: we are looking forward to having you. Welcome to Hotel Das Tyrol.
Hotel Tyrol is located between the historical old city and the hip neighbourhoods surrounding the MuseumsQuartier, right next to the Naschmarkt, Vienna’s main market, and on Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna’s longest shopping street. Almost all the main tourist attractions are a few minutes walk away - except for Schönbrunn, which was once the Emperor’s summer residence in the then countryside.
Taxis stop right before our door, the metro station is just around the corner, but you probably won’t need either of them: Hotel Tyrol’s location is just perfect. So you won’t need to travel any further once you’ve arrived in Vienna.
At least, not only. Art belongs in everyday life too. It deserves to be experienced. That’s why hotelier Helena Ramsbacher has brought her private contemporary art collection to be displayed in the hotel. Large format paintings hang in every single room - from the lobby to the bar to the private rooms. Colourful, realistic, fascinating paintings. Windowsills and niches are graced by little statues, glass and ceramics, and sometimes even the rooms themselves are art - visit the private spa and you’ll see what we mean! We also take care to indulge your senses with our furnishings. Our furniture may not be art, but it is often artful craftsmanship - such as the chandelier from Lladró that illuminates the reception, or the chairs from Möbelwerkstatt Wittmann in the lounge.
