Wherever you want

you are almost
there.

Top location in Vienna

The Tyrol is located between the historic old town and the trendy district around the Museumsquartier, right next to Vienna's most important market, the Naschmarkt, and Vienna's longest shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße. Almost all the major sights are just a few minutes' walk from us - except Schönbrunn, but that was once the imperial summer residence outside the city.

Taxis stop right outside our door and the underground is just around the corner, but it's quite possible that you won't need either. The location of the Hotel Tyrol is perfect. So you won't have to travel once you've arrived in Vienna.

Bright & Luxury

Soft gold and red tones also characterise our light-flooded, friendly rooms. Large windows and carefully selected and placed lamps create a special atmosphere. If you prefer a cosy atmosphere, the room can of course be completely darkened.

No two rooms are the same, each one is individually designed. A different, specially selected picture from Helena Ramsbacher's private collection hangs above each bed. But they all have one thing in common: they feel like pure luxury.

Art
does not belong
in a museum

Or not only. It also belongs in everyday life. It needs to be enlivened and revitalised. That's why hostess and Das Tyrol boss Helena Ramsbacher has made her private collection of contemporary art part of the hotel.

In every room - from the lobby to the bar to the private rooms - there are large-format paintings, often realistic and colourful, always fascinating in their own way. There are small statues, glasses and ceramics to discover on the windowsills and in niches, and sometimes the rooms themselves are art - visit our Private Spa and see what we mean!

We also take care to flatter your senses with our furnishings. Our furniture may not be art, but it is often artistic craftsmanship - such as the chandelier from Lladró that illuminates the reception or the chairs from the Wittmann furniture workshop in the lounge.
